An answer to a sticky problem

There's nothing worse than being caught with a vehicle in a sticky location without any way to solve the problem. Power winches are the obvious answer but not everyone has this option when travelling off road.

At last there is a low cost answer, the Bushranger Emergency Hand Winch.

Easily transferred between different vehicles, the Bushranger Emergency Hand Winch kit comes in a durable, double-skinned, moulded plastic case complete with a pair of leather-faced gloves to ensure safety when in use. There's also room in the case to store additional recovery items such as bow shackles.

Rated at a line pull of 1.5 tonnes safe working load, the Emergency Hand Winch incorporates double die-cast gears, drive pawls and fail-safe locks that enable the toughest of recovery situations to be handled in a safe, reliable exercise.

The winch spool of galvanised 5mm aircraft quality cable provides three metres of travel and allows the operator to winch a vehicle out of any situation or difficulty.

For longer winching distances it's an easy job to complete the winch exercise in a series of short hauls.

Easy to use, a thumb operated switch engages and disengages the ratchet gears allowing full control for spooling out or winching in operations. The cable is guided onto the spool during winching and both front and rear hooks feature spring-loaded safety catches to prevent a strap or bow shackle from slipping out of the hook confinement.
This compact, portable and highly versatile winch kit is available from Fully Equippedís nationwide chain of stores.

Wayne Robertson, Marketing Manager for Fully Equipped says the Emergency Hand Winch Kit provides peace of mind to all vehicle owners. It can also add tremendous versatility when carried in a two wheel drive vehicle as it can solve any situation where temporary grip is lost and the vehicle would otherwise be disabled he said.
